Van Buren Towers

Interior concrete shear wall placed in this 12 story condominium building in Oakland.   Large foundations placed below subterranean garage structure, placement of concrete interior shear wall through tenant interior spaces and elevator lobbies on each floor.  Tenants were temporarily moved as their specific floor was being completed.  Operations included X-raying of structure to avoid pre-tension cabling, installation of heavy rebar, and poured in place concrete.   Once each floor was complete, finishes were restored and access to interior spaces and elevator lobby was granted.  Project was completed in 16 weeks.
