Hendry Ranch Winery

Construction of new winery nestled into a hillside for maximum temperature control.  The structure consists of large concrete retaining walls topped by wood frame construction with exposed radius glu-lam beams and insulated roof panels.  Mezzanine construction is concrete over metal decking and structural steel framing.  Metal elements are coated with special coatings to resist sulpherous acid, a natural by-product of the wine-making process.   The project includes a self-contained fire-protection system, stainless steel tanks, glycol piping, and custom sliding barn doors completed by McNely Construction Company carpenters.  Stained concrete floors and exposed roof trusses in the tasting room/visitor’s center gives the feeling that the building has been there for many years prior to the actual construction.
